Clients and contracts - Getting Started - 8 of ?

Hello! Big day. I met with my first paying client! Super excited to present to him a vision for how I can help him make changes in his life.

I also drafted a service contract with an attorney! I believe that is a very important step, especially in a faith-based context where we will talk about supernatural power from God changing our lives. That supernatural power absolutely exists and absolutely does change our lives but the Bible is clear that at the same time, we are to be taking intense and profound action in our lives to obey God. Without that, change doesn't occur in our lives here on earth.

When I am coaching, that means it is the responsibility of the client to take the actions that will change their life. I cannot do that for them. I can't make them do it. Those are their choices and their actions. My actions are to lead, teach, plan, problem-solve, encourage, pray for, and coach the client. The contract I have created helps clarify all of these things definitively so that there is no confusion between clients and myself on who will be doing what, who is responsible for outcomes, and what they are paying for.

See you tomorrow!
